Akuutti24 is responsible for emergency care. Specialist care is provided by 40 different medical specialists in outpatient clinics and inpatient units.
Access to the central hospital is through the main entrance, Hoitajankatu or through the U-entrance for patients at the day surgery, cardiac centre, physiotherapy outpatient clinic and ophthalmology clinic.
From the parking garage, you can walk to the hospital building along the gateway, and the entrance to Akuutti24 will continue to serve emergency customers in the normal way.

Päijät-Häme Central Hospital is Finland’s second largest central hospital and the seventh largest provider of specialist care.
About 120,000 people visit the hospital during the year.
The central hospital employs 2,900 people, including 290 surgeons and 1,440 nursing staff.
The Central Hospital is part of the special responsibility of HUS Helsinki University Hospital.
